    Incoming MBII

I was able to pick up a year old MBII last night for a ridiculously good price. Actually can't believe how well this all worked out. I was at the point where I was calling AD's to get prices on a new watch, and then I got the watchrecon ping I've been waiting for.

Question- the watch does have papers and full kit but there are two issues I need help with.

    1. Would you fix a scratch on the crystal, and how much would you expect a watchmaker to charge to do so?

    2. Does Bremont only ship one strap buckle with the two straps that come with the watch?

Congrats on the new piece! I love my MBIII, which gets most of my wrist time these days.

For the buckle, my new MBIII came with only one buckle for both straps. You can by a second, but they’re not cheap. They’re easy enough to change with the strap-changing tool, but be careful not to scratch the buckle. I recommend some painter’s tape on the outside, similar to changing a strap.

For the crystal, try calling the nearest Bremont boutique. I’ve used NY for warranty service, and they were fantastic. You might even get lucky and get a comp based on stories I’ve heard. Either way, they’ll do a top-notch job, which is worth it vs having a potentially subpar job done elsewhere.

Agree with XX. I'd go straight to Bremont for the crystal. Might pay a little more but it would be worth it in the long run. I've seen some disastrous results with going with a third party for crystal issues, especially if there is an outer anti-reflective coating on the crystal. Let Bremont own the quality of work on their own watch

I have a problem with changing my mind faster than I can change my watch collection

Thanks for the advice. The watch arrived Monday and my worries about the scratched crystal were unnecessary. It's really not that bad. Otherwise, a really cool watch.

Part of owning a Bremont is the superior coating on the crystals. There is a chance the scratch is only in the AR, but loosing the outer coating lessens the clarity of the Bremont process.

    Re: Incoming MBII

Well, I got the watch about three weeks ago. I realized two things.

    1. The scratch is almost invisible in most lighting, but it is there. I do believe it's in the AR coating. Not going to fix it. It runs from 11 to 2.

    2. The watch wears a little clumsy on my small wrist, so it's going to be going away. Shame, because I love the looks of it, just not on my wrist.

BTW: The OEM straps are ridiculously high quality. Not much is said about them but they are well made.
