Question / Help with Bremont Kevlar Strap

    Hi all,

Looking for a bit of help / info on Bremont's Kevlar strap for my ALT1-P.

I'm looking for the 22mm black w/ white stitch, but they've been out of stock on Bremont's site for quite some time now.

Is Bremont no longer making these? If not, would anyone know if an AD might have these available for sale?

I've also read that the older Kevlar strap started to fray soon after wearing. I'm not sure if the black w/ white stitch was the original (hence it being unavailable via Bremont).

At the end of the day, I'd like to stick with Bremont's version with the calf skin, but I'm not sure if I'm stuck here.

Any help / advice would be great.

Thx and Happy New Year to all!!

Re: Question / Help with Bremont Kevlar Strap

There were Nylon with leather ends originally that were made for Bremeont by Gas Gas Bones in the UK. The Boeing models have some special strap that says it is Organic Polymer. I'm not aware that Bremont has a kevlar strap?

Re: Question / Help with Bremont Kevlar Strap

    Thanks for the reply.

Bremont makes (or made) two versions: black w/ black stitching and black w/ white stitching.

They are available on their site for purchase (apologies as I'm a new member and cannot post the link).

The black / white variation is only available in 20mm; hence, my fear is that it may have been discountinued.

If you can’t find them at Bremont, contact Carl Evans at Gas Gas Bones and tell him what you have. He can make you something that will match the factory strap. He made the original ones as Michael told you in his post above.

    Thanks very much Kevin.

Just heard back from Bremont today - the Kevlar straps have indeed been discontinued.

It looks like GGB is the go-to once he's back up and running. I love the Kevlar look but it seems that I'm late to the game.
