Seeking input on the Supermarine 500

Owners, are you pleased with it? How's the lume? bright and long lasting? Also, it comes in 4 variants. Does the Black/green model have C-3 Superluminova as opposed to C-1, since it has the green color characteristic of C-3?Name: Bremont_Supermarine_500-posting-dial-close.jpg

Seeking input on the Supermarine 500

I have the black/black model and could not be happier with the watch. Lume is great even though it's not very important to me. It's time keeping couldn't be better as its about +3sec per day. It's a robust, high quality build with a classic style which is why it's not only my daily wear watch, but my only watch. I sold my others to acquire it and I never regret that I did.

Very versatile and it checks all the boxes for me. I recommend it very highly.

Good thread, I had the same question, from the searching I've done, the black/green combo has exceptional lume, gemnation seems to have them at great prices right now, wish I had the jingle to buy one...

The Supermarine has great Lume! The Black/Green is my favorite model and that is why I chose it! Cheers Jim.

I had one a year or so ago. Fantastic watch from an even better company. Awesome alternative to the standard "high-end" Swiss choices.

Re: Seeking input on the Supermarine 500

I am very pleased with mine. I have the black/black model model like Tagdevil's (he has some great images) and it has become my daily wearer. The lume is great - maybe not Seiko great but almost there. Accuracy is amazing. I acquired mine from a forum member. The card is dated 2012 - I assume no service. It was running -1.5 sec. per day. I regulated it a tiny bit and now get -1 per night sitting face up and + 1 per day with wear. So now several months since setting it, it is still essentially bang on (haven't had to reset it - and don't plan to until the daylight savings change). I would say that the case is the real stand out feature. It is the one watch that I take off just to admire and fiddle with just for the sake of admiring the case.

I have the black model S500/bk and I really like it. There is a post I started here where I discuss the accuracy and it is excellent. It also wears very well for the size.

I did a review on it in comparison to my BALL Hydrocarbon. If you want, you can read the Bremont review and see pics here:

I echo the other comments in this thread. I also have the black/black and it's a wonderful watch (accurate, well built, unique, great looking). Lume is excellent, and lasts all night. Love it.

Thanks! And that's a great question. Unfortunately, I'm not sure

So many straps tried, I've lost track. It "may" have been: Nato Regimental Strap Black and Gray James Bond – Cheapest NATO Straps

Then again, maybe not. I'll try to look back tomorrow and if I find the exact source, I'll reply.

The SM500 does look good on a black/grey nato.
