This was posted on TRF and joined WUS just to say KUDOS!

Great story and a bright future ahead for you. Like someone mentioned, maybe when you are the CEO of Zenith, we can say I remember when he posted that story on WUS.

Thanks for all the awesome replies.
In lasts week's local newspaper an article was written about this story and my passion for watches. Quite a big one actually. It is written is Dutch, so I am afraid it isn't worth it to share it with you guys.
I also wrote a letter back to Zenith last tuesday to thank Mr Dufour for his generosity and show him the result. In the letter I also refer to the article I wrote here and included a link to this story.
    Thanks again everyone!

    Kindly regards,

    Mick Mooren

That will be good publicity for Zenith, and a good deal for you.

had the good pleasure to read.

You have helped restore some early hobbiest interest and original love we have for the hobby, and I think your well on your way to being a Master watchmaker in a short time...

Well done & that Zenith El' Primero Chronograph is one unique horological masterpiece!

    Cheers,

    Great story.

Top marks to Mick for taking the initiative to write to Zenith and top marks to Zenith for reaching out to a humble watch enthusiast when they really didn't have to.

    Brilliant!

It is so refreshing to see a young person so talented at something other than video games.
Middle aged old farts like me love complaining about today's lazy, spoiled youth and you blow that sterotype out of the water.
You show great skills at photography, watch repair well beyond your years all the while telling a marvelous story in a language that is not your native tongue.
    Truly impressive on all counts

    Hi Mick,

First of all, a lot of respect for your accomplishment, I really liked your story and the reaction from Zenith. It's comforting to know there are still companies (and people) that really care about their history and their customers.

Can you post that article in your local newspaper for us Dutch people, or a link maybe? Perhaps in the Kaliber 2010 sub forum, that would make more sense.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

    Great reading.
Needless to say, this is the most talked about story on the watchforums these days.
