Smile Anniversary gift for the wife?

    Hi,

I have been thinking of getting the wife a watch for our 5th year wedding anniversay (think it is due as she got an Omega Planet Ocean for our actual wedding). I know she wants a timeless piece as she has never had an expensive piece before but has a thing for rose gold and a small number of diamonds present in the dial somehwere.

Now the two she has noticed include a rose gold and staineless steel rolex costing 7k (a bit much!) and an Omega constellation ladies mini (4.3k - a bit better price wise) however, the latter is quartz and quite dressy only but does possess a wow factor.

Are there any others up to 5k max that fit the criteria of having a small dial (26mm) and has elements of rose gold and diamonds in them?

Now this is price range you can have fun with - your wife is very lucky!

As I'm sure you're aware - if the rose gold/diamonds wasn't necessay that opens it up quite a bit - JLC reverso, Cartier tank/santos, or any number of classics. But, if rose gold and diamonds she wants, that's what she should get!

One quick note - I'm assuming at this price that all the watches are gold plated, so eventually it will wear off. Just something to think about.

I think the Omega is a great choice. A couple of others to think about....

    Ebel Classic Lady, 27mm, quartz:

Longines PrimaLuna, 26.5mm (also comes in a no date 23mm version), quartz:

Next, no diamonds, but rose gold. A groundbreaking design from a groundbreaking company, a bit outside of $5k on the grey market, but not too bad.

Cartier Tank Francaise Ladies, 20x25mm, quartz:

    Images not mine.

From experience I must agree with this, but my wife also has the constellation mini in yellow gold and steel....get the omega and enjoy the horological symmetry.
Enjoying a life far better than I deserve...

I am the odd person then. :) Those Tanks don't appeal to me. Bracelet is nice but I get turn off by the dial. Maybe it's the sharp corners.

Go with the Omega or Longines.

I was talking about the one the OP posted (sharp corners with obtuse angles, same one Michele O. has). The ones Jackie and Diana wore are fine with 45 degree corners.
