    Alpina Startimer battery change

The battery on my Alpina Startimer died today, and for my surprise when I went to open the case back to find what kind of battery it needs I found that the tool I usually use to open other watches back is too small to cover the diameter of the case and there is no way to do the job with it.
Any idea what other tool I need to use in this case? The watch case diameter is 44mm.
    Thanks for your help.

You could either find a tool like the one you have but with a wider span to reach the grooves in the Startimer case back or try one of the soft balls that you press against the case back and turn to loosen it. I don't know what they're called but I'm sure you could find one if you do a search for tools to open watch case backs.
