Just curious. I dropped my FC World Timer on the floor and the date hand broke away. My own fault for sure.
It was floating in the watch for a week, but otherwise the watch was working fine.
Took it to a local dealer, their watch guy said it would have to go back to base.
Sent it back to FC for a quote on repair.
~$1300 so I decided not to proceed. I would rather spend that money on a new watch, (have my eye on a couple including the slimline manufacture), and as it was still working in everyone other function and still a great looking watch, it was not worth that amount of money to fix.
Eventually got a call from the dealer to say it was back. To my surprise, it had the date hand back on the face again. Figured I just got lucky.
However now that I have looked more closely, I see a major circular scratch through the dial through numbers 10 to 17 and same inner dial with the hour numbers is now miss-aligned with the actual time of day. i.e. if its midnight via the hour hands, the hour number is at 3am. I am pretty sure its not the watch face I sent over, but they replaced with something that was hanging around the office, despite my refusal to repair after the quote.
Thankfully the dealer took a pic before sending it off, so I must call down and get this as evidence and send it back again or call them.
Any one else experience poor service like this? Very disappointing.
