    Need advice regarding FC-259

    Hi,

I just purchased a new FC-259 over the internet. Looking at it it occurs to me that the date-dial is a bit off (see pictures)
Is this acceptable for a new FC-watch?

    Hi!
First, congrats on a beatiful classical watch.
Frederique Constant doesn't disclose which movement they call FC-259, although I think it is one of the Ronda movements. If it doesn't have a calibration feature, when you can reset all the hands to initial values, it's ok to have hands misaligned by less than half a measurement unit. All you can do is to select a better watch from a few examples.
