    The Cartier Codex, RIP?

The Cartier Codex (cartiercodex.com) was a comprehensive online catalog of Cartier watches since the advent of Cartier du Monde in the 70’s. It identified photos of past models by reference, years produced, movement, and (most interestingly to me), manufacturer. In it, for example, I discovered that my wife’s Santos Galbée was in 1991...by Ebel.

But not it’s a domain up for sale.

Anybody know what happened to it? Anybody know who the owner was?

The Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) does not have a copy of it, inexplicably to me.

Sometimes life takes it’s course, and things just fade-away out of existence.

Yes, but sometimes such work gets taken over by someone else and I’m just looking in the wrong place.

I might have even been willing to host it myself.

Wow I didn't now about it until your post but I just subscribed in case you find out if it still exists somewhere. This would be pretty cool to check out.
