    A couple SAR questions.

I have long thought about buying an SAR and I still want one. I have always leaned towards the bracelet, but saw some pics of the rubber band with the new clasp and it looks really nice. Any thoughts? Also, where to buy? I would like to buy from US, but every place I have seen is charging full retail. Am I missing someone? Ordering from Germany, they are all under $2000, although I do know there is still a tax, but I believe that is under $100.

Wrong re tax. Tax is 19%. So we are talking about +\- €350.
    Kind regards

OK. Thanks. I looked at the chart on Chronext. I will maybe give them a call if I feel OK with buying through them and get clarification. They have SAR for $1300 new.

Not sure if I should ask this question here or start a new thread.

I recently got to check out a used SAR Rescue Timer. It's a great looking watch. One thing that surprised me was the bracelet - the rubber parts were a bit sticky; the rubber bezel was not sticky. So here I am reaching out to the SAR owners - do the rubber parts become sticky over time? My guess is no, and the stickiness of that particular bracelet is related to that owner's use history, but I thought I'd double check. Thanks.

I did end up getting an SAR and wear it to work everyday. My job is pretty rough on watches and it is doing great. I don't notice stickiness. If anything the rubber is getting slicker over time, probably from friction of it coming into contact with other surfaces. The only bad thing is, I haven't been wearing any of my other watches anymore:). I keep saying I am going to rotate the others in, but haven't yet.

That's very good to know. And I am so glad you like it so much!! So you ended up with a bracelet?

I have the bracelet on the SAR, yes. I have had the red/black anniversary model longer with the rubber band. I just couldn't wear it to work and get it all scratched up. I like the rubber band and the bracelet, but prefer the looks of the bracelet on the regular SAR.
