Upon re-falling in love with my Seebataillon I’ve started to use the bezel for all sorts of useful tasks, besides timing things, just counting non-timed completions like counting down how many swim laps, weight sets, “somethings,” etc. I have left to do. I also found a wicked cool dark blue cotton canvas strap which has a unique design, from watchstrapon in the UK, passing only one layer beneath the watch but having the security of a NATO. Pics attached, I have since waxed it with otter wax and it looks great.
The reason I post though is that I noticed the Seebataillon bezel insert is misaligned less than a millimeter clockwise. So the clicks leave it slightly off. It’s not the mechanics it’s just the insert. I’ve noticed it’s aligned correctly in old pictures. In fact I notice a small mark around 30s which appears I hit it on something somehow which may have caused the insert to move in the bezel.
So here’s the deal: from some angles the misalignment isn’t visible but from others it appears completely between indices. It’s starting to bug me but it’s so small of a misalignment it’s not worth losing months and boku funds on a repair. I’m in Chicago but there doesn’t seem to be an authorized Mühle dealer. I tried “pushing” the bezel back as hard as I could, hoping, but it isn’t taking. It’s just above the “4” in “24” of the GMT ring for example, so I need to move it half the digit counterclockwise. I just had the watch serviced last winter so I’d like to avoid an otherwise unecessary repair.
Anyone a watch repair expert with known tricks to do it myself? Thanks!
