    Help!

Well, I got my new Mühle SAR Timer Anniversary edition today and need to change the strap but can't seem to back out the strap screws. I am, of course, fearful of a slipped screwdriver scratching the DLC case and have applied all
the pressure I am comfortable doing but can't seem to get them to budge. Any suggestions? Worse case, I'll ship it off to the AD in Littleton but I sure hate to part with it having just received it today!

    Re: Help!

The pins hold the strap in place. The screws only hold the pins in the lugs.
There is no need for the screws to be extra tight, but there should be light
thread locker on the threads to keep the screws from falling out. You might
try soaking the lugs in hot water to see if that makes the screws easier to
    remove.

    Thanks,

    Re: Help!

Thanks for the good advice but I tried them and man, they are tight. Anyway, the good news is I contacted an AD here in Colorado that will do the strap swap for me so I'm all set. These are the same folks I purchased e band from (Right Time in Denver) and they have been a delight to work with. It'll be like getting a new watch all over again!

Good choice. When in doubt, let a pro do it and avoid the potential damage and headaches....

    Re: Help!

Happy day two! I got my SAR Timer Anniversary back from Right Time with the new strap installed. I have cut it to size and tomorrow will be my first day of wear. I wore my Sinn 358 Diapal today so I'll have a good back to back comparison. I'll post pix and thoughts tomorrow.

Removing Straps is always a risk.
