Mühle Seebataillon GMT at Eiger Nordwand

On his own, our brand ambassador Robert Jasper climbed through the Eiger Nordwand in the Rope Solo style, Rotpunkt, one of the most challenging climbing styles of all, using only the natural rock stops, but securing himself with a rope, on "new ground". The route "Meltdown" 7a+ is now the latest climb through the most famous north face of the Alps!

And the Mühle Seebataillon GMT was also there.

Mühle Glashütte congratulate Robert Jasper on this special achievement and wish him all the best for his expedition to the largely unexplored northern Patagonian Ice Sheet starting tomorrow.

    Information about the first ascent:
    Route: "Meltdown", 7a+, 11 pitches.
First ascent: Robert Jasper in Rope Solo style Rotpunkt, 2019.
Location: Berner Oberland, Switzerland, Eiger north face, right wall section. High alpine rock/sports climbing route in very good Eiger rock! All necessary hammers/ drill hooks were left, 1 set of Camalots 01-2 recommended for mobile protection, 50 meters of ropes, descent over west flank.

That takes some serious (insert the word of your choice...)

Great video and you get a couple good shots of the GMT as well.

Even when your adventure is as innocuous as a dip in an infinity pool in Puerto Vallarta.
