New acquisition - Muhle Glashutte Pro Mare Datum

I have owned several Muhle watches and really like their designs and quality. After spending the last 4 days with this baby, here are my thoughts:

--the best designed Muhle I've ever handled. Thilo Muhle and company hit the nail on the head when they say this offers great legibility. Absolutely ultra easy to read.

---Nice 44mm case with a gorgeous inky black dial. Applied markers with excellent lume.

---30 % larger than normal date window which I REALLY love since my 51 year old eyes aren't what they used to be.

---Really nice touches of orange around the circumference of the dial and the tip of the second hand which pick up the orange on the Hirsch strap.

---neat ceramic inlay in the bezel

---Beautiful case execution featuring a great mix of polished and brushed surfaces

---The Hirsch waterproof strap - OUTSTANDING - not only comfortable but very high quality and has ingenious little nobs to hold the keepers in place.

---The Selitta movement is keeping chronometer time

---Muhle really hit a homerun with this watch, which is marketed as a watch for active people. It is a perfect blend of sporty and classy.

It's a really great looking watch. I prefer smaller watches and wish they made it in 39 or 40mm

My thoughts exactly. They do have smaller watches but I really do wish they'd bring out more models with diameter <40mm.

    OP - great looking watch!!!!

I have the same piece on my wrist at this moment. One of the best looking dials for legibility ever.
It wears smaller than 44mm would have you believe. I enjoy it a lot.
