Question regarding water resistance for Terranaut...

I noticed the Terranaut III is rated at 10 bar water resistance, while the larger Terranaut II is only 5 bar. Both reportedly have screw down crowns, and obvious display backs, so I do not understand reason for different resistance ratings. Could anyone here possibly clarify? Thank you.

    I emailed Mühle.
The lesser water resistance of the Terranaut II Trail is the rsesult of the weighing of water resistance vs. case height. In orde to achieve an identical wr of the Terranaut II Trail (44 mm Diameter and 10,4 mm height) compared to the Terranaut III with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 10mm youmwould need a larger dimensioned sealing gasket which would have had some impact on the case height ( for comparison the Marinus with a 44mm case diameter has a height of 12,2mm.
Since the Terranaut II still is a Flieger inspired watch in a 44mm case Mühle decided to keep the case flat which warrants a comfortable wear. That's it about the 5 bar wr of the Terranaut II which does fit the purpose very well. It is not a diver's watch isn't it.
    Kind regards

Thank you very much Mike. I kind of understand, but wonder if actual pressure test tolerances were confirmed. Of course not a diver watch, but would feel much more comfortable swimming/ snorkeling with a watch rated to 100m rather than 50. Either way, beautiful timepieces regardless of case diameter or water resistance.

Mühle does not recommend snorkling with a 5bar rated watch.
