The Robert Mühle Zeigerdatum - an exclusive highlight for 2016/2017
The big Baselworld surprise presented by Mühle Glashütte was the new Robert Mühle Zeigerdatum LE.
This timepiece pays tribute to the company’s founder Robert Muhle and uses a movement designed and manufactured by watchmakers of Mühle Nautische Instrumente themselves. A completely in-house developed complication. The movement encased in a stainless steel 44 mm brushed and polished case features an anthracite dial with applied indices, a date wheel at 9:00, a 56 hour power reserve indicator at 3:00 (Auf und Ab, Up/down) and a seconds display at 6:00.
The caliber, labeled RMK 03, consists of 180 components, 33 jewels, of which three are set in screwed gold chatons. The movement has a three fifths plate, instead of the more traditional three quarter plate, with a separate balance cock for the escape wheel. They implement their woodpecker neck fine adjustment system, which is hand engraved and adds dramatically improved shock resistance.
