    Balance Wheel

Hello, I am new. Have done antique clocks for ions. Now jumping into watches. Not a lot different, just tiny. I have a 1912 Elgin wrist watch off eBay that needed tlc. I believe the balance wheel is rubbing, so perhaps balance wheel staff? I have let down spring and it seems solid. Advice on next steps and parts would be helpful. Can I just remove the bridge holding the balance wheel? Casey

    Re: Balance Wheel

You could check the pivots of the balance wheel if they are in good condition. If a pivot is broken it should be pretty obvious.
