Help Dating Hamilton 992 model 3 cased pocket watch.

I have inherited a Hamilton 992 white gold filled model 3 cased 21 jeweled, double roller pocket watch. The issue I'm having is dating it. Almost every online sources has a different date for my serial# 2402320. I'm curios to know when it was made. Does any one know how to date this watch?

your watch was made between 1914 and 1931

Serial no 1,085,801 started 1914 and it terminated 2,584,300 in 1931
    Final factory sale was 1936

As you serial number is closer to the end, we can guesstimate circa late 20s say 1927

    Hope that he;ps

Thank you very much that narrows it down a bit. Dour you know why I can't find any examples of the model 3 cases in white gold fill on line? Was it produced in smaller quantities? How might I find out?

Well you could also join NAWCC forum, its free, and ask in the pocket watch section, there is a HUGE amount of expertise there ready to help.

    Roobert:
At the beginning of my locomotive engineer career (39 yrs, 11 mos 21 days) I wore the RR Approved 992b, Lever set, 21 Jeweled, Yellow Gold
watch similar to yours. Additionally I owned a Hammy 950b. 23 jeweled, White Gold watch. Each had a matching Yellow and White gold Simmons
watch chain with BLE (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engrs) watch fobs. I believe your 992 to be a 1928 issuance.
Local vintage watch shop in Hurst Texas bought my 992b for $575.00 and the 950b for $1,000.00. Used the profit for another purpose than
    watches.
