    Introducing EMG Watches

First off, I would like to thank Watchuseek and the admins, especially Brad for allowing us to post in this forum regarding our brand.

    Hello,
My name is Eric and I am one co-founder of EMG Watches and Derek (chicolabronse) is the other. We met via the watchuseek affordables forum while discussing ideas for an F71 project watch. We shared some designs, and things snowballed from there.

Our first design, a dual crown GMT, was put on hold because Derek and I lacked the funds to really get anything moving. We then came up with the idea to work with Ed (HKED) to produce a small run of 50 vintage styled chronographs utilizing the 42mm Seagull 1963 Reissue. We were able to make enough through deposits based off our renders to get a prototype started. Currently, the prototype is expected to be complete before the end of the month (MAR2017). At the time of this post, we are at 42 of 50 watches accounted for.

    Our DL63 Chronograph

    Case:
    1963 42mm case
    Diameter- 42mm
    Lug to Lug- 48mm
    Thickness- 13mm
    Lug Width- 22mm
Finishing- Bezel and top of lugs will be brushed, and the sides polished.

    Crystal:
Mineral crystal (front and display back)

    Movement:
    Hand-winding ST1901 Chronograph

    Dial:
Matte white dial with recessed, matte black subdials
    Black applied indices
    BGW9 Blue lume
    Raised internal tach bezel

    Strap:
22mm tapered to 20mm, single stitch rally strap

Our next design, the Horizon Chronograph, is underway and we are currently looking for a manufacturer to help us realize our design. We have several quotes from manufacturers and are discussing what will be the best for our brand.

    Case:
    38mm x 38mm
    Lug to Lug- 46mm
    Thickness- ~13mm with boxed sapphire
    Lug Width- 22mm
Finishing- Flat area around crystal is polished, angled areas will be vertically brushed, sides polished

    Crystal:
    Boxed sapphire

    Movement:
    Miyota 6S21

    Dial:
    Matte finishing
    Cutout, recessed subdials
    Brushed, applied markers

Our first design, the Odyssey GMT, we hope to reintroduce at a later date along with a whole series of Odyssey watches.

    Thank you,

    Eric Goodlock

Hope you get that dual crown produced one day. It's a beautiful design.
In the meantime, Doug at MWW has been doing a great job with the 62MAS project.

I'm in as you know already. Love how the panda comes along so far, now let's await how those subdials will look with their intended shape.

Should that GMT come to life I am a backer as well. That silver/blue one is a winner!

Still not considering using a mechanical movement/Vk64 for those horizons? Any news/progress on a 1963 reversed panda?

Still not sure the Vk64 will be the best movement for this watch. The sub dial spacing may be too narrow and I worry about the central second hand reset. Its not completely out of the question though.

Reverse panda, we are waiting to see how the panda turns out first, then we will consider additional versions.
