Gear S3 - App and faces eating battery

    Hi,

today I have forgotten to close the Stopwatch app from Samsung.
And it has killed my battery.

I have used the stopwatch during cooking and then stop it and reset it.
But it was in the background...

After my battery was killed I have check its consommation on the Samsung Gear app...
    It was the culprit.

So a simple application, a stopwatch function, something mega classic, can kill your battery?

What are those Samsung official app developers doing???

And if you try to rate that official stopwatch application.
    You got a servir error?
    Come on!

    Thank you for the report.

Do you mean the stopwatch function was not visible on the display
for most of the time? If so then that application seems like a good
candidate for removal from your watch. Are you able to do that?
Perhaps there is a different application that performs the function
you want without maintaining a persistent presence.

    Thanks,

Re: Gear S3 - App and faces eating battery

    You are welcome.

Yes the app was no more in use, just 'not closed'.

Again this is a Samsung official app.
But I was able to find two other, less sexy but not draining outrageously the power of the watch.

I have been able to remove it and replaced by another app named 'timing'.
I have been able today also to post a short review on the Samsung gear market.

A good stopwatch should be mandatory. The Samsung app cannot run beyond 3 hours.
I now figure that beyond three hours your battery is dead anyway.

Does the S3 run on Tizen or Android Wear?

I remember thinking how it'd be good for Samsung to not be beholden to Google's developers and make their own OS. But that was when Samsung was expecting to run all its phones and tablets on Tizen, too. Guess it's not as easy as they thought.

Eventually I have found an app named Mystopwatch and it works fine without eating the battery.
And when in the background doesn't reset
