Looking for budget standalone smartwatch for the beach

    Hi,

I'm looking for a budget smartwatch - let's say sub 40$ - to take to the beach or the pool.
I know salt water (or chlorine water in the pool) will wear down the seals faster than fresh water, but I can replace them from time to time by myself (if I find the correct rubber band).

Should be waterproof (for the occasional swim), have a sim card to make calls (i.e. not through a paired smartphone), and preferably have a camera (could even be 0.3M but higher is better).
Nice to have - 3G / 4G, GPS, completely waterproof.

Couldn't find one like this in this price - cheap waterproof watches usually don't have sim capability.
Notable exception is SOCOOLE W08 at 45$, but I really want a camera and frankly the sim cover is not very reassuring with respect to waterproofness...

    Thanks!

At that price range I'm afraid that any camera you get is likely to be as good as the water resistance and Smart features...

    Good luck with your search.

Did it strike anyone else a little weird that the OP is asking for a discreet wristwatch camera to take to the beach and pool?

This is half the reason you can't find cameras on smartwatches anymore. Remember that stalker-friendly Samsung Gear ad where the snowboard dude picked up a girl by secretly taking pictures of her?
