Sony Smartwatch 3, Asus Zenwatch 2 or ???

I am looking to get my first smartwatch. my basic usage will be for exercise (bike ride tracking, music navigation, basic stopwatch) and maybe to keep on during the day for calendar notifications. I will be wearing it on a rubber strap for the most part but it would be kind of nice to be able to put it on leather or steel on the rare occasion that I wear it in a less casual situation. Because this is limited use I am trying to stay in the lower end of the budget. $150 is my comfort number but the right one might take me up some. Of course saving money would always be great. Oh, and I am an android user and dont want to have to stick to a particular phone manufacturer. Any input from Sony or Asus owners? I am open to alternate suggestions as well. More waterproofing would be awesome.

I'm not affiliated with this guy, but I like his videos for cheap smart watch reviews.

I have the Asus Zenwatch 2. I bought it about 8 months ago. It is very comfortable, works perfectly, and has given me great bang-for-the-buck. When I turn off WiFi I can get up to 3 days on one charge, with moderate use. I have switched to the Samsung Gear S3 Classic now, so my Zenwatch will see much less wrist time . . . but it's only because the Samsung hits all of the aesthetic notes that the square Zenwatch doesn't.

Go for the Sony, it's water resistant for bike rides and will last for 2 days.

Forget about putting it on a leather strap, just buy another watch for the occasion.

Personally, I keep the Sony on my right wrist like a fitness tracker, and then regular mechanical watches on the left. That's because when I have to choose only 1 watch - the mechanical watches always lose to the practicality of the smartwatch. Using both wrists help me not have to make a choice
