    Vacation watch

Last summer took a Fenix 5 to Mexico and it worked out very well for recording what passes for runs at my age, general resort abuse, keeping in touch and water activity. I think after giving this matter a little thought I am taking an Instinct. Anyone else have input who would be as much of a geek as me to give this matter thought? Going to a resort in Cabo this year.

I prefer Garmin over an Apple because you are not charging them daily

What didn't you like about the Fenix 5 a year ago? If the Instinct does not alleviate those dislikes, then it would be an even tie I guess. Do the both have the same atm pressure resistance rating? Might want to pick whichever one has the higher atm water resistance.

I'm going to Korea for a couple weeks soon and will probably leave my AW at home. I'm not planning to use its cellular radio at all, and I'll always be with my family.

I think the Garmin Fenix 5 is versatile enough for a vacation. I don't own one, but I just had a friend coming over for vacation and wore one everywhere, from the beach to the evenings walks and taverns. Compared with it, the Instinct seems more sportier and less versatile.

Personally, I already started thinking about what watch(es) to take in the coming vacation and so far I think the Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm should be enough. I ordered a couple of different straps, as I find the original rubber one not very pleasant to wear.

My Forerunner 235 is still working fine and measures heart rate at the wrist without the need for a strap.
