500 hours test : the video

    Hello there,

We have talked a lot here about how Montblanc was running their tests on their timepieces assembled within their manufacture in Le Locle.

A couple of weeks ago, the manufacture unveiled a short video where the 500 hours Test is described : Montblanc Fine Watchmaking: 500 Hours Quality Certificate - YouTube

Your devoted also wrote a few lines about it in WorldTempus: Montblanc - Zero tolerance in Le Locle | Industry News | WorldTempus

    Enjoy !

Very interesting. Has MB quality control always been this way or just recently?

I assume that this only applies to their top-of-the-line watches?

Great marketing video, i do appreciate the quality products MontBlanc offers, i think their watches are under rated.

Dan, this test is done on all their in-house movement watches (entire Rieussec line, as well as the TimeWalker flyback). I am not sure if Minerva/Villeret pieces undergo this test. Their ETA watches do undergo calibration (they aren't just dropped into the watch after getting the movements) but they do not do the 500 Hours test on them except for the new Perpetual Calendar (which has a Sellita base with a Dubois Depraz perpetual calendar module).
