I have my eyes set on a new watch, but not sure what to get. I'm looking for a dressy piece and i really love Montblanc older designs. I don't wear dress a lot, but i love dress watches and wear them on causal clothes as well. My wrist is 6,75 inches.
Right now, i have 2 watches in sight.
One is Montblanc 112515. Great looking dress watch, thin (6mm), 38mm diameter. It's hard to get, but not impossible, price is around 1700 to 1900 eur for used model.
Cons of this watch for me: could be boring, since there is no complication? Could be too dressy and not a good fit for smart casual or casual clothes?
The other is Montblanc 112538. Also great looking, busy dial, but not too much. 40mm and still thin at 9,6mm. Price is much higher at around 3000+ eur.
I like complications on this watch, calendar and moonphase so there is less chance to be boring and maybe fits smart causal or casual more? But it can also pull of as a dress piece. Problem could be size, but i wear 40+mm watches a lot anyway.
What would you choose and why? I love both of them. On pics 112515 looks spectacular and it's really thin so that is a nice feature to have. It's a special model and cheaper.
