This is my very first MontBlanc watch. Well, this is my very first MontBlanc product!
Everyone knows MontBlanc as a Pen brand.
In recent times, MontBlanc has been manufacturing interesting watches.
This one really interested me.
Even though I am not the biggest fan of dress watches, I do dress up in a suit-and-tie at least twice a week, and a nice, slim, dress watch, would go a lot better with them than a dive watch (such as my Rolex Submariner or Tudor Heritage Black Bay).
The pricing of MontBlanc watches also appears to be very reasonable.
This new MontBlanc Heritage Chronometrie Ultra Slim watch is a mechanical, handwind, 2-hand, watch, with approximately 42 hours of power reserve.
It is extremely slim and light, and very comfortable on my wrist.
Its RRP in stainless steel is AUD$3,030.00.
I managed to negotiate a good price and purchased it.
I rang my local MontBlanc boutique about this watch last Wednesday.
They had not heard of this model but did some ringing around and rang me back, and informed me that they could get one in for me immediately (from their warehouse – presumably from Sydney or Melbourne).
I needed to put a Deposit in so that they could secure it and bring it to Perth.
It was fully refundable, if I decided against proceeding with the purchase.
I did put a Deposit down, they rang me the next day and it was already in.
I was not able to make it there on Thursday so I went there after work on Friday, tried it on, took the plunge and negotiated a fair price, and here are some pictures.
