Picture A new TimeWalker on the starting blocks

    Hello all,

First pieces of news are coming to us from the SIHH.

Amongst other models, there will be a new version of the TimeWalker:

Why this model ? Because it will be in 2014 its 10th anniversary !

To celebrate it, Montblanc will unveil a brand new not model, but finishing : full DLC.

The strap has to be noticed ; it's a combination of carbon and leather. Resistant as carbon, but with the great feeling of leather on the skin. Why it is important ? Because it's the first time that Montblanc uses this process....but not the last : the brand plans to use it again for others models in the future.

    First picture here below.

    Stay tuned !

    All the best,

    Olivier

Nice as usual. Mont Blanc know what they are doing. Its a shame they dont get the appreciation they deserve. I love my Timewalker.

    Thanks for your comment !

    I don't have a Timewalker myself (yet !!).

So, sir, what do you think of this sporty evolution of the collection ? Do you think a sport Timewalker remains a Timewalker ?

Nice one. Case work on this model is exceptional.

Yes I believe it does. The dial and chronograph layout lend itself perfectly to a sports watch. I have the SS version on black leather, and although quite a presence on the wrist, it remains my dressy watch. This new casing and that drooling strap fits the bill for a sports chronograph. Really nice.

Looks nice but I think I prefer the older DLC version with the rose gold numerals and pushers. I just think the rose gold really popped against the black watch.

Although I must admit that I don't currently have a large appreciation or interest in MB's watches (I do love their pens however), that chrono looks absolutely gorgeous! I usually have a weakness for chronographs but that piece is absolutely beautiful. Seems unusually sporty for an MB watch but I like the new direction.

Mmm, for a Breitling fan, that is to say for a Chronograph specialist, that's kind of a compliment, sir !

Well, the strap makes a big part of the difference, IMHO. Breitling also did efforts on that side, recently, on the Super Avenger Military. But MB's strap mixes rubber and leather, and I thing it can be very comfortable - I haven't tried it yet, though.

    Cheers !
