    New user/owner

    Hi

First post on the site which i was brought to by searching for info on my new watch.
You know what its like, waiting for the wife i started glancing in the shop window, one watch caught my eye,a preowned Mont Blanc.i never knew they made watches so i went in and spoke to the salesman,it was classed as used but it was new old stock at a very good price so had to come home with me..only popped out for a coffee
I love the way the face changes colour in different light,it has nice solid feel to it but is probably the most comfortable watch i own.

    Good choice.

I have two and really like the comfort as well as the very legible dial.

    First, welcome on board !

Then, excellent choice. I think you can go pretty much anywhere with such a timepiece on your wrist, from the office to red carpet through lazy / sporty week-ends.

That's interesting where new MB owners come from : what's your background ? What kind of watches did you have before ? Where you REALLY looking for a new watch, or was that TimeWalker bought just by chance ?

    All the best,

    Olivier

    Thanks for the welcome

Im a 42 year old builder from Norwich in the uk,i was never a watch wearer up until 6 years ago when i bought an aqua racer as I've always liked TAG brand, this was followed a year later by my Rado which i have to say i soon went off,i then found the Jorg Gray in a magazine and after some trouble getting it through retailers i eventually contacted them direct on Twitter and they were brilliant, the Carrera was next and is one I've always admired,i thought this would do me for a while but while just doing a bit of window shopping and having a coffee i see the Timewalker by chance, normally this retailer just sells new but they had a preowned section which had some unusual brands.
I also brought my wife her first Tag so she may hooked too

Thank you sir, that's very interesting ! It's a perfect mix of different types of watches. You have 2 chronographs, 1diver, and two more 'urban' pieces, the Montbmanc and the Rado.

Mmm, in a way, the perfect next step would be...a urban...chronograph....by Montblanc. Something called a Rieussec, for instance ! What do you think of it ?

However, it's kind of a bit expensive piece, I must admit...

Cheers from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland !

Well, I won't go against you, sir, I also have a steel version !

IMHO, this steel version is still one of the most beautiful.

I had the chance to make a quick shot of the Black & White versions side by side. Here it it. For me, the white version fits better a daily wearing.

What's your opinion between the two ?

Well the collection has changed a fair bit over the last year but the Timewalker is still there, still love it,looks good casual or with a suit.
I know a lot of people don't take MontBlanc serious as watchmakers but everyone starts somewhere and it seems as well made as the others I own so it'll be staying awhile longer
