Thoughts on the Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph

Just got this piece into my shop. Just curious what everyone thinks of this piece and their thoughts on bronze watches.
I really love its classic design and the bronze definitely makes it distinct.

Nice, not liking the eaten up numerals. Prefer this one though.

Beautiful watch, love the champagne dial and bronze case!
I am seriously thinking the non chronograph version.

    Nice!

I tried one on with a different dial colour a couple of weeks ago.

It is thicker than I would like, but it's a nice Watch, and quite well-priced.

I like the new 42mm size (and 40mm for non-chronograph version). It's more wearable compared to the previous 44mm cases.

Re: Thoughts on the Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph

Tried this one on at the Atlanta airport boutique. It was the only 1858 model they had in stock. It wore well on my just-under-7" wrist, even at 42 mm. It is definitely thick, just like the many 7750-based chronos out there (not sure if that's what's inside it or not). However, it wore exceptionally well because of a feature that I haven't seen anybody talk about: the leather strap's deployant has a tool-less micro-adjust on it that's good for at least 5 mm, if not more. Between that and the pin buckle adjustment, I was able to get an absolutely perfect fit. It was very comfortable. Frankly, I'm interested in buying the strap & deployant for other watches, but may wind up just getting a Geosphere to have the whole package. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Geosphere for me to try on, but it is significantly thinner, so I'm optimistic about it.

Both the bronze and the steel look pretty great, how would you choose???
