What movement is in my 7148 Sport diver?

    Hi Everyone,

I've been a member of this forum for 5 years but only noticed this morning there is a new(ish) sub-thread dedicated to Mont Blanc

My collection contains a year 2007 Mont Blanc 7148 Sport diver. Lovely size for me, 38mm case, 46mm lug to lug, 19mm lug width and 11.5mm depth. Whopping 155g in weight, easily the heaviest in my stable. Lovely blue dial too

Reason for my post though is I'm wondering what movement is in the watch. I think it's either an ETA 2892 or a Mont Blanc modified variant of it? It just has the same feel as other 2892 powered watches i.e. TAG Heuer 6000 chronometer and an Omega Seamaster chronometer I've very recently sold.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Mark,

It's an ETA movement. An ETA 2892-A2 , to be precise.

    Happy to help,

    Cheers,

    Hi Olivier,

I suspected it was an unmodified by Montblanc ETA 2892-A2. Thanks ever so much for confirming!

    Have a good weekend
    Cheers!
