    Wow

I am not sure if anyone else does this but I am so fascinated with watches that I can spend all day looking at them. So I am in a high end shopping mall yesterday and went into the Omega boutique. Then after strolling through the Rolex boutique I went into a really fancy watch store that had AP, Hublot, PP, etc. I just couldn't get enough. I then went into the Montblanc store (I love fountain pens too btw) and I saw my next watch. It was love at first sight. All I can say is "Wow". Here she is..

The Nicolas Rieussec pieces are really nice. Very unique look, and really interesting in-house movement. Unfortunately this forum isn't very active compared to many of the other brand ones as it's quite new. I can assure you that there are many fans of the NR lineup, they probably just haven't come by to chime in. You really can't go wrong with this as your next watch purchase.

And if you have the means, I'd HIGHLY recommend the Homage series.

From the pictures of the Homage series it looks like the hour markers have lume applied but they aren't actually visible in daylight. Is that right?

correct, the lume pigments are mixed in with the ceramic hour plate on the dial and is invisible until they light up in the dark.

    Re: Wow

Ok, thanks although this begs the question why did they do it that way for this model? Surely having the hour markers always visible is more useful? I can understand when watchmakers choose not to apply lume but going out of your way to actually hide parts of the display in good light seems counterintuitive to me.

    Re: Wow

I think it was more for the fact that they can do it to show off. It's not the most utilitarian, sure I agree with you.
