This year Glashütte Original presented its 2015 collection, most of them priced under 10k euros. GO also did brand awareness with the grass root campaign with 5 videos made with bloggers, journalists, and collector. This was a brilliant idea and showed how GO is perceived from a customer's perspective. I thought the video of Tony and Joacim was the best. You can see all the videos here.
Mr. Yann Gamard, CEO Glashütte Original kicking off the 2015 presentation
Glashütte Origina presented the PanomaticLunar and Panoreserve in blue and black dial. The pre-Basel pictures don't do them justice since they are even more stunning in person. GO's acquisition of the Kurt Mueller dial factory in Pforzheim is paying big dividends. The price of these watches ranges from 9,700 euros in steel to 20,200 euros in red gold.
The Senator Observer was my favorite model since it is now more legible with the black dial and lume and the font used is brilliant. The price is 9,700 in steel.
Cosmopolite is also very impressive and has some very useful complication for the frequent traveler. Since this is targeted towards a collector who travels often and knows the IATA codes for various airports, it is priced between 36k - 38k euros (in red or white gold). Still more affordable and practical than the 2012 Cosmopolite Tourbillon.
Finally, the ladies elegant Pavonina quartz watches were presented in various mother-of-pearl dials.
This is ladies PanomaticLunar from prior collection but still very popular since there was a special request to see it by the audience.
I want to thank Mr. Rene Marx for being a gracious host, as always, and congratulate him on a successful campaign.
