    How much more battery life can you expect after turning off the the fitness tracker and the heart rate monitor, thanks guys.

    Never did that check, as I turned those functions off initially.

    The longest I’ve ever run my first-gen in Airplane Mode — the radios are the most power-hungry component after the display and the HR sensor — was maybe five days.

    Other than that lone experiment (which was actually to see how accurate its timekeeping was without syncing to the internet), no, I haven’t tried to see what it would be like to make it less useful.

    My first-gen ran better than -1sec/month when I tested it over twenty-plus days in Airplane Mode. Definitely in HAQ territory even without syncing to Apple’s time servers.

    My one month test in airplane mode and on the charger, gave between 2 to 3 seconds a year, AFAIR.
