    Gift it IS an upgrade.

    Got the gen 2 yesterday.
I was going to wait an other year or two but serendipitously ended up with a brand new stainless steel 42mm.

When I first put it on, it looked & felt the same as gen 1 (for the most part), no surprise there.. But the more I used it, the more Gen 2ness sank in.

It feels more responsive! From raising my wrist wake screen, to opening apps, G2 is definitely quicker.
The GPS works well without my phone. Went for a walk this AM and purposely left 6s+ @ home. Got back and looked at the heatmap and "COOL!".
Speakerphone is louder and clearer too.

Not sure if it's placebo but it does feel a bit larger than gen 1. Could I actually notice that extra 1mm? Have to check specs and see if it's heavier, that could be it too. In any case, it's been less than 24 hours and there's still more to test out. Need to take this for a swim especially. (anyone have an indoor pool with towel service? :)

Just thought I would share how pleased I am with the improvements AAPL made here.
