    Bracelet Disassambly

    Hey Friends...

Asked this question in General Forum, its probably a better place here to ask.

I would like to take the bracelet apart on my ORIS Aquis.

Seems like only the first few links can be taken off,the rest of them dont have any screws or pins? How did they even put it together?

I need to take it completely apart in order to have it Gold plated.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanx a lot.

    Dekidex...Hello!

If I may, a quick comment here: there seems to be a general opinion among those who have done it, that gold plating can be VERY THIN, and wears off rather quickly. Having said this, I also assume that there are places that apply thick, long-lasting layers of gold.

Thought you might find this comment to be of some value...

It's most likely pressed together with knurled pins on the inside. I don't think you'll be able to disassemble it without a tool specifically designed to pull such links apart.

Second Vicc's opinion, they are pressed together around interference fit pins. I've seen them disassembled, but only destructively. Think vice-grips and a hammer. I'd look into sourcing an aftermarket band that comes the way you want.
    If it's a good meter, it's a Fluke.
Hang my self when I get enough rope. (It's a Tubes lyric, from the mid 70's; song's called "White Punks on Dope". Enough said?)
The difference between 12 and 21 is dyslexia.
