Letting down the mainspring on a pin-set unbranded pocket watch

    Hi all, newbie here.
I've just started tinkering with some old mostly broken watches from ebay, but I can't seem to figure out how to safely let down the mainspring on this one:

Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Jeva1337...Hello.

When in doubt, always pull the dial: you'll then see how the mainspring's tensioned, & be all set.

On this watch ( which I do not recognize ), it seems that you'll need to lift the winding stem 'keeper' (?) / pull the stem / remove the movement...that should get you going.

Take your time, look at what's in front of you, and things will work out. Michael.

Most likely, if you take the movement out of the case, the click to release the ratchet wheel will be found below the mainspring barrel and accessible from the side of the movement.
