Tiny shard of metal from Sellita SW200 / ETA 2824-2

    G'day all,

I bought two watches with a Sellita SW200 movement, similar to the ETA 2824-2.
On this particular movement the date quickset was not working. When pulling out the crown to the first position, it does not adjust the date. (It does not seem to struggle to engage either, it just completely doesn't engage at all).

Upon disassembling the watch I saw a tiny piece of metal which seemingly fell out from under the crown as removed the crown. I have no clue what it could be from, and I'm not sure if the limited pictures of it can have anyone knowing what it is. Before I commit to a task such as disassembling the movement (this is my first time working on a mechanical movement) I would like to gather some insights and read up on the subject as well.

Below I have attached a bunch of photo's of the shred in different orientations, so you can get a bit of an idea what it looks like. Also included are some comparison photos with a EUR 10¢ coin and a Micro SD card.
If it helps, I have also uploaded this video to YouTube: https://youtu.be/Giy6xKdkMLo

Part of the crown tube or case tube?

Can't imagine something working it's way out from the inside through the stem opening and falling out
