    Buying Snowflake

    Hi guy,

I went into AD yesterday in Montreal (we only have 2 in Quebec) to buy a snowflake.
The seller was unequivocal... no discount no nothing! They tell me that GS do not authorize any discount !
    7300$(cad) that it !

did you had guy any discount buying GS from AD?

Call one of the forum sponsors. I know Timeless sells GS and so does another sponsor.

Discount or not, there's no sense in working with people who aren't interested in working with you.

Says retail is $7300 CAD and that’s what my AD sells it for. If you can get it for $6200 CAD all in, that’s a great deal.

Btw, what they’re saying about discounting...it’s a lie. Bought 6 GS recently, all discounted. Even LE. Find a new AD.

I only got 5% because I’m a repeat customer at the AD. I was told I’d have to wait for it so I was most surprised when it arrived the next day. Suspect that as a repeat customer I got the last one in stock rather than the guy who’d ordered one an hour or so earlier than me.

Try shopping around, but the chances of a good discount are few and far between for this brand of watch, IMHO.

The GS AD I work with gives significant discounts on the pieces. I was able to pick up the new SBGH269 for a $900 USD discount.

I'm assuming that dealer isn't in Mankato! (Lived there for a few years, from 1995 - 1998.)

I did get 10% on the SBGN005 that I purchased last year. But that's obviously not the Snowflake. Or a Spring Drive.

    Re: Buying Snowflake

Shopping doesn't have to be a wrestling match. There are lots of watches out there to buy. If you really want this one, just buy it. If it doesn't make sense to you at that price, buy something else.

If you got what you wanted, you're the winner. It's not like you NEED this watch, you want it, and it's ok to pay full price for something you want from someone who wants to sell it to you.

No doubt someone will post "you're a sucker if you pay full price for that watch" but then there are people who think everyone who pays more than $500 for a watch is a sucker. Ignore the haters. If you think it's fair and you really want it, just go for it.

Call other AD’s around Canada. They may be able to ship. Check areas that are less hot...like Calgary or Edmonton.
