Question FAVRE - LEUBA BIVOUAC WATCH INFORMATION

Hi. Firstly, apologies if I have posted on the wrong forum (I have also posted this on the public forum).

I have a Favre-Leuba Bivouac watch which was my fathers watch that he used when he was a private pilot (to check altitude/pressure).

Since his passing away I have been selling his personal items to help pay for my mothers care costs as she has dementia.

I would appreciate any advice on where I can possibly have the watch cleaned (its in good working order) and the best web sit (e-bay? / watchuseek?) to eventually sell and the possible price I may get.

I live in the North East of the England, UK.

I would appreciate any constructive feedback.

    regards

    SQ

I think RLT watch company have a good reputation. They're in Scarborough.
    Servicing & Repairs

Can't really help you with the price. But there's no harm selling the watch on ebay when done. There's a section here where you can let people at the forum know that you've got an auction running. You could try the sale section first and stick it for auction if you don't have any takers at the price you want. Good luck.

If your intent is to sell it don't get in serviced you'll never recover your cost. So many so called serviced watches are not that most buyers discount any claims of the watch having been serviced. I would suggest you list it in the for sale section here and avoid E-bay's excessive fees.

You might want to post this in Vintage you'll get a lot more information. I would also do a search of the sold auctions on Ebay for pricing information.
