How do you like these Sea Gull models? The design is inspired by the Bauhaus art school (1920.ties) just like Nomos and many others. This Seagull is definitly not a copy of Nomos but has a genuine design based on the Bauhaus principles.
They are all equiped with a hand wound mechanical movement with 40h power reserve, sapphire glass, the diameter is with 40mm just right for a dress watch. The second picture shows how flat this mechanical watch is. The price is around 250 €.

Sure looks like it to me. Specifically an advert from Fine Chinese Watches who it seems may indeed be a forum sponsor according to their profile.

Clearly an ad, which is fine if phrased that way.
"Alternative to Nomos" and "This Seagull is definitly not a copy of Nomos but has a genuine design" are kind of hard to reconcile. I understand German brands connection to Bauhaus, not so much Chinese.

Thanks for the comments. This was not meant as advertisement otherwise I would have added a link. To me this thread is about affordable watches and I just wanted to show nice watches with genuine design and not a 1:1 copy of sombody elses design. Just for the sake of completion Bauhaus design went way beyond Germany and had influence on all continents.

Nomos is not the only watch company that uses the" Bauhaus-Design".

Zeppelin , Junkers and many other use this design.

    Seagull Bauhaus, looks ok.

On one hand, I can see some of the more-persnickety folks on Watchuseek complaining that the Sea-Gull is too much of a "homage" to -- or a direct copy of -- the Nomos. On the other hand, Nomos is rehashing Bauhaus designs that Junghans and others have had for decades. Since I have no dog in what will inevitably be a fight, it matters to me one bit. The watches do look nice.
