The Brotherhood of Submariner Homages (a/k/a BSHT) (Part 17)

Welcome to BSHT Part 17 ladies and gents!

Welcome to the new guys, old time lurkers, and to the rest of the usual gang of leather lovers and protesters, and short, T-rex, stumpy hands critics. It's really great seeing all of us coexist in this part of the internet world, and we all know what brings all of us here... that is our common love for bacon and TWSS. And of course the brotherhood and camaraderie which most of the regulars here will agree. Oh and the subs, keep em coming guys.

A lot of good things are bound to happen here:

    - Looking forward to seeing the new NTH Subs!
    - More pics of Founder Emeritus Fullers' ProHunter Kingston, Thach's original Dark Kingston (if he hasn't flipped it yet?), as well the rest of the subs that has gone to the dark side.
    - Fresh mods using BSHT dials (C'mon dial factory and ship already...).
    - SALAD group coming to rise.
    - More clowncloud and reverse clownclouds.

As always let's continue to keep our cozy little corner clean...okay dirty...but just a little bit.

I left this at the end of Part 16 as well since Franco made the jump while I was posting it. So, here it is again...

    That is all...
For me, it doesn't have anything to do with price or value of a R*lex. It's all about choices, my choices, my likes and having something not many others have.

What I don't understand is why there are still people that can't see past this or that even care so much about it that they comment about it. So many products have come from something else and we as consumers have evolved with other products that took inspiration from the original. Why should a watch be any different. It's so narrow minded.

Besides, this thread would be pretty boring if we all showed off the same handful of $5k watches on different straps.

    Long live the BSHT.

There are lots of BSHT brothers who currently own, or have owned, gen subs but prefer the homage (perhaps more). No matter how you feel about homage watches (or the historically dubious topic that is) bringing a disdain for homage watches to an homage forum is just bad form. I mean, why bother?

I think if you read through these pages you'll find not only a group of guys (and ladies) that don't just jibberjabber about watches and their attributes, but a group of folks that genuinely care for (and look out for) one another!!

Bring something constructive. Bring something witty. Bring something fresh, fun, or new. But don't bring negativity. I can log onto any number of news/political websites for that. We've got that in spades!

Leather, steel, nylon. It's all good. Just no mesh. Mesh sucks.

How about Flaming Rabbit And Cohorts Against Steel (F.R.A.C.A.S.)?

    Thanks Franco and happy birthday!

In other good news, congrats to DVNE on the arrival of his beautiful twin girls, A and B.

I've got a personal update to add too. I've got an appointment next week with the hand specialist and am hoping to have this cast taken off! Fingers crossed for good news, although possibility exists for surgery on account of a flake of bone that had come off at the break and possibility of mis-alignment. Good thing it was my right hand tho. Yes, I'm right handed and I wear my watch on my LEFT!!

And a quick review of some of my favourites lately:
