while the stroopwafel duiker was just a tarradiddle I think this is a watch I really will wear.
It's based on a cheap quartz watch only but I even cannot swim - what do I need a proper diver's watch?
I believe the Späckhuggare looks quite nice.

I tend to purchase in the sub-$750 range. I find a lot of fun watches under that price point and would feel guilty spending more than that on a fancy, ticking bracelet.

Here is a picture of FR in his flight suit taken a few years ago.

OK...it was taken in 1973! Wonder what the watch was...don't remember.

The picture actually has some bearing on my online name. I arrived at Air Station New Orleans fresh from AT (avionics technician ) school with the lowly rank of E3. Shortly found out that there were not enough flight orders for all the enlisted men that were stationed there which was important because you didn't get flight pay unless you had flight orders even if you were actually flying. OK...pay your dues and all of that. You also had to fly at least four hours a month to get your flight pay. I shortly found out that some of the higher ranks like E7 and above were taking a few training flights a month to get there four hours. They didn't do anything on these flights except sit in the back of the helo! That really frosted my but so I announced that if I wasn't getting flight pay I wasn't going to take any routine flights. This made me very popular with my fellow low ranking enlisted men but not so much with the higher ranking guys. Always was surprised I didn't suffer any consequences from my actions. Guess they couldn't do anything officially but there would have been other ways but nothing ever came of it. Because of all of this my wife staring calling me Crusader Rabbit after the old cartoon series. When I was looking for an online name I changed it to Flaming Rabbit since I didn't want to steal Mr Crusader Rabbits name.

So there you have it. And you guys thought Flaming Rabbit was a reference to something dirty didn't Ya.
