IMO go up 0.1mm in diameter freeze 20+ mins press in very straight so you don't bend and damage the gasket.

In our house, the middle kid has gone through some INTENSE Poke-phases, like it went into remission for a year when he was about 9, and then came back full-blown from ages 10-11 and nearly did us all in before disappearing again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the current lull is permanent, and that the youngest one skips it all together, but he recently mentioned there's a live action Poke-movie coming out sometime soon.

Also I dunno how much a booster pack of 10 Poke-cards costs where ya'lls are, but they're TWELVE DOLLARS where I live. The back of my napkin says the kid coulda owned half a Submariner by now.
Well, I doubt there is really all that much parenting wisdom in this tale, other than to not be a dick to your kids. You see, the story is actually more about me than it is about my kids or about Pokemon cards. In fact, it starts back in my childhood, and it's a little embarrassing to recount, but I'll try to give you a Reader's Digest version of it anyway.

I was raised in a very religious household, and attended only Christian schools for all but my 2nd grade year. Because of this, and the fact that my mom was really into the whole "Baptized in the Holy Ghost," "Speaking in tongues," "Slain in the Spirit" version of Christianity, I was indoctrinated to believe that it was all literally true. Angels. Demons. God. Satan. All alive and active in today's world.

Fast forward to when my boys were young and playing with Pokemon cards. We attended a seminar at the Baptist Church that we were attending at the time where the presenters claimed that the various Pokemon characters were all based on real demons, and that people who allowed them in their homes were giving the demons permission to possess them and their children. I'm not kidding. That's what they said. So, what does a loving parent who buys into this whole fantastic story do? Why, he burns his kids Pokemon cards on the BBQ grill, that's what he does.

I no longer believe any of that narrative, and have now become skeptical of all claims of the supernatural. However, I believed it at the time. Lock, stock, and barrel. Such is the power of childhood indoctrination.

I have now appologized to my kids for this heinous act. We all laugh about it now, but they tell me that some of the "demon possessed" Pokemon cards I sacrificed to my ignorance on that pile of Kingsford may have become quite valuable if they still had them today.

And BTW, on a side note, my oldest son actually has gotten quite good at Magic: The Gathering. Ironic, don't you think? Burning his Pokemon cards didn't prevent him from becoming "an agent of the Devil" anyway. My sacrifice was all for naught.

And on top of that, he also loves to play Pokemon Go. Go figure. So many times our childhood interests follow us all the way into adulthood, right? It was true for me, and it was true for him as well.

When I tried to take a pic a couple hours ago the camery battery was dead. This was only taken maybe 15 minutes ago.
