Need input on another G10 raf version...

I found this watch while searching for Nato and velcro bands.
Any more information regarding specs on this one (quality, dimensions, etc.)?

Little info to go by. No mention of movement other than quartz. Likely sourced from the PRC. Price is $$$$ for an unknown watch. A seiko snkg on A'zon is less $ and you know what you're getting.

I may be wrong, but this site strikes me as being one to catch out tourists and people associated with the Military rather than selling to the Military.

The description of the watch is all wrong to me, the real watches they are trying to homage I think would be the Pulsar??? If so that is going to have a Japanese designed movement and the whole thing is going to be made in the far East, maybe the PRC but not necessarily could be Hong Kong or Indonesia? Who Knows?

My advice is that you could get a Seiko 5 Automatic for that money:

I paid just over £65 for the Seiko

And for less money a cheeky bid got me this St Moritz (Rotary) Pilot Style watch, and that is Swiss Made and is a Chrono to boot! £45!

My thoughts are Run Like Hell from this deal!

No info on the watch but I’d go for the China angle.

I stumbled onto these pilot watches from Heimdallr on eBay. They’re the same group that makes the “homage” Seiko 62mas, etc. that some people seem to like, YMMV.

I don’t have much interest in their homage stuff so I’ve never owned anything from them so no idea on quality or customer service but this one seems a little different than most of their other offerings.

For about the same price as the watch you’ve posted, okay $20 more, you get a NH35 auto, sapphire, C1 and 150m WR in a 38.5mm case. There is a Type B dial version available for the same $, IIRC.

Yes I was going to say it looks the same deal as MWC, but MWC have a complete range and keener prices.

These all have no genuine military connection but are direct homages of issued CWC watches, with better more modern specs, but no doubt worse QC and reliability for much less money. As long as you know MWC's military claims are 100% false then they aren't bad watches if you want exactly the particular model. If you just like field watches in general then there's probably better options fom Bertucci, Alba/Lorus/Pulsar, RAM etc
