As long as the weather stays cool, I can still wear some vintage stuff ...1976 Timex day/date handwinder. I have had this one for a while but just replaced the crystal . Starting to look pretty good IMHO.

I'm hoping to see a FedEx package from Germany this morning, after a six month wait. (Edit: oops, it seems it's due on Thursday now...) In the meantime I'll wear the grail that the incoming package was supposed to prevent me from buying in the first place. (No, it doesn't make sense to me either, but I'll post again later just in case.)

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

"Watches tie people to the celestial clockwork... but people have been encouraged by their clocks to ignore the daily and seasonal cycles and to pretend that there is nothing to contend with but metronome-paced linear time. We appear to have caged the sun inside a machine." Michael Young, The Metronomic Society, p. 204

Wanted something small and simple this morning. Hoping to swap it for something else small and simple later when I pick up my HMT Pilot from the post office.

Wanted to wear my Citizen New Master one last time before I got it serviced, but it was playing up too much this morning and I was far to groggy to keep setting it, so I kept it simple and threw on the first watch from the draw.
