    Alpha Day/Date.......

    Greetings -

I was on the alpha website today and noticed they had added a few new pieces to their collection (Not necessarily new SKUs, just newly offered). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with this company. I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on the Roman Numeral Day/Date SS, but was wondering:

    1. Shipping - Cost/Time

    2. Quality - Not expecting a lot, but would be happy to see it last

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I didn't know if this goes against the forum rules, so feel free to delete if so.

    Hi buccodave

I have a similar model (only index instead of rome numbers) for more than 3 years.

It's a very nice small watch

    To answer your questions :
1 - Shipping : none if you go for the "regular air mail" shipping (simply decline their paypal offer for other shipment methods) It usually takes ~3 weeks to arrive in France (faster 2 weeks / longer 1 month)

I own 13 Alpha watches, and they're all running fine

2 - Quality… well, you might be surprised that's the good thing with Alpha ^_^

    Re: Alpha Day/Date.......

    1. Shipping - 2 weeks
    2. Quality - great what you pay for but with QC issues from time to time, better to get second hand to get an even better deal but with AlphaUSA down, a little less frequent in the sales forum and usually good deals go bye quick.

Just a tip, please do a search before posting about Alpha as it has been discussed numerous times before.

My daughter got one of these for me as a surprise present a year or so . The price quoted was the equivalent of around £40.She then got hit with charges from Alpha and UK Customs which took the price up to £80.

As a £40 watch the quality/price ratio is fine ( The only problem has been the transparent cover over the day falling out and getting caught in the hands, but a local watch retailer only charged me £3.50 to repair it, but having opened the case they could not guarantee the water resistance) But paying £80 makes the watch too expensive for what it is.
