    Modding a Heimdallr/Sharkey SKX007

    Folks

I've been lurking on the site for years, but have now registered. I took delivery of a Heimdallr Bronze Tuna Can homage this weekend, which is just wonderful. I've also recently finished modding my first SKX007 and definitely have the modding bug. I am looking to get one of the white-dialled Heimdallr SKX007 homages and add a green aluminium bezel insert to go for the toned down hulk look (I don;t like the ones with green dial and green bezel so much). I like the fact that the movement, crystal and dial is already what I would want.

Too noob to post a link yet but it is on the Heimdallr web site.

I just wanted to check that the SKX007 homage is compatible with Seiko mods like bezels and inserts. Can anyone confirm this for me?

    Thanks

    N

Have you tried emailing the company directly and asking them this question? That would be my first course of action.

I emailed Lily a few times asking this question alongside the details of my first order but she never answered it!

Their SKX homage has a 45mm case size, so I doubt any of the available Seiko SKX mods would fit.

Good point - unless they are including the crown. Thankyou!
I'll ask her again and see.

True. I’m thinking they may be just using the Deep Blue Nato case, which is manufactured around those parts, and has a 45mm case.

All SKX Seiko parts(e.g. bezels, crowns, case backs, etc. ) fit this watch. I have three of these, so I have swapped in/out numerous Seiko parts on mine.
