Parnis vs. ...... Jackson tse MM pam homage

Which of these watches are better quality. I have the parnis currently pictured.

I'm thinking of ordering the jackson ...... militare, but are they the same exact movements? Could I also just buy the MM87 crown guard on jackson's site and replace it onto the parnis? Any help would be appreciated since I'm a "newb"

Neither is higher quality (mostly because the quality in PAM homages doesn't really get any lower), and yes, they'll both be essentially the same Chinese movements...although a great majority of Jackson's MM's are handwind 6497's as opposed to automatics.

I can't tell how your crown gaurd is attached from this pic. To fit the new one there would need to be 2 recessed screws on the lever side of the gaurd going into the side of the case. It sort of looks like yours might be molded into the case because it doesn't even look like it has a lever.
Dear WIS, I have seen your watch addiction affect your life negatively in the following ways...

Need to be careful with the crown guards. I purchased one watch and it came with a different finish crown guard than the case.

I ordered a replacement crown guard of the same finish as the case and when the lever is closed it does not exert any pressure on the crown when pushed in.

Also dimensions of the screws seem to vary and I have had some quality issues with stripped lugs and / or screw pins. But then we are talking homage watches here.

Also screw pins can be different size bore so do no assume all parts are interchangeable.
