    People of Queensland rejoice!

Local brand Adina now offer a Chinese mechanical movement among their range of Brisbane-assembled watches.

Shame about the price, but on the up-side, it does feature their standard 100m water resistance; something you don't see too often in watches of this style.

As a Queenslander and an Adina fan boy this speaks volumes of the quality of Seagull movements. Adina watches are a high quality product, which is reflected in their price. I have an Adina grandfather clock, a Rolma vintage watch which I had restored (one of Adina's first watches) and just recently bought an Adina watch for my daughter for her 18th. This is great news for Seagull. Adina only purchase quality movements. Could it be the negative connotations attached to Chinese movements is finally changing???

    Re: People of Queensland rejoice!

I asked them this on Facebook earlier this week and they confirmed it was a 2505. But unlike all of their other advertising on their site about their movements in their wristwatches being Swiss, there was little fanfare about the provenance of this one.

Still, great movement and the watch looks not too shabby (though their dial reminds me of some Parnis and Seagull dials).
