Waknoer with Day and Date only for $10

The price can vary from $10 to $20

I already have the watch with me for a good couple of weeks. I bought it for my wife.

The only complain is extremely low power reserve. It always stops at 2 am. It needs to be wound each night.

Yes wound, you heard it right. Surprisingly the movement comes with winding + hacking. Surprise.

I believe it has good accuracy. Since my wife hasn't complained once.

I'm not sure what is so unusual about hand-winding an automatic. Most do. Auto-only is largely limited to old Seiko movements and copies thereof.

What is unusual is for a DG-type movement to not be able to keep itself running through the night without assistance. The winding efficiency is usually pretty good on these. My guess is that there is some kind of excessive resistance in the calendar mechanism that is stopping the watch as the date changes (hence always stops at the same time of night), but topping up the mainspring gives it enough torque to push through.

I came from Seiko's in the past, Orient, etc. Found winding, and else from my Chinese watches.

Ah yes date changing. We can suspect on that.
